Rwanda Denies Burundi Accusation It Sponsored Terrorist Attack

Rwanda has refuted claims by neighboring Burundi that it armed a rebel group accused of executing a terrorist attack in Bujumbura, its economic capital. The grenade attack, which was carried out on Friday, injured at least 38 people. According to the spokesperson for Burundi’s interior ministry, Pierre Nkurikiye, the attack was carried out by the RED-Tabara rebel group and sponsored by Rwanda through the supply of arms. The RED-Tabara rebels have also denied the allegation.
