Atlanta Phambili: A Trade & Investment Gateway To Africa & South Africa

Led by Coordinator British A. Robinson and U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, Dr. Reuben Brigety II, Atlanta Phambili was a 4-day series of meetings, roundtables, and for a connecting a delegation of South African government and business leaders to Atlanta, Georgia with U.S. investors, businesses, and federal and state government leaders. Atlanta Phambili advances the affirmative bilateral relationship between the U.S. and South Africa, drawing on a rich ecosystem of institutions and Diaspora connections, and sets the stage for a deeper framework for economic engagement and cooperation.

Notably, on March 27 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman launched the Africa Trade Desk, an exciting new program to connect African products with large U.S. retailer buyers.
